Carbone Bros objective is to deliver services and equipment which meet requirements of our client's needs to the highest standard possible, all personnel employed by Carbone Bros are aware of their responsibility to ensure that the customer is satisfied with all services and materials provided.

Carbone Bros is committed to the provision of a safe and healthy environment for all people at its offices and project workplaces. Our commitment is based on the principle of controlling risk to a level which is as low as is reasonably practicable to meet our legal obligations.

People at Carbone Bros workplaces are empowered to work together as a team, and each person is responsible and accountable for Safety and Health Management.

Together we will continue to pro-actively implement our Safety and Health policy through ethical conduct, consultation within the workplace and teamwork.

Carbone Bros have in place, and adhere to, an extensive Safety Management System which enhances customer satisfaction with peace of mind knowing that their project is being delivered in the safest possible manner.

Most of the staff employed by the company are multi skilled and are capable of handling various machines, this ensures a continuous flow of production and in the case of an absent employee, does not cause any delay in contractual fulfilment.

Carbone Bros also specialize in the supply and delivery of gravel, limestone and sand wich is mined and mixed in the company's own quarries.

All work is completed in a manner which ensures that the safety of operators and the public is maintained at all times. Work practices must conform to:

  • Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act and its regulations (1984).

  • Occupational Safety and Health Regulation (1996).

  • Dangerous goods safety act (2004).

  • Building Regulations (1989).

  • Other provisions of common law statute that apply.

  • The Company complies with legislative requirements; it endeavors to meet the employer duty of care responsibilities by identifying, assessing and managing hazards and risks that may impact upon its operations.

 

Carbone Bros has a strong commitment to safety in the workplace, safety policies enforced are as follows:-

  • All new employees complete Health and Safety induction forms. Employees are also informed of their responsibilities regarding drug and alcohol and the environment. They sign off on these forms to ensure they are fully understood.

  • Toolbox meetings are held monthly or as needed. They are conducted by supervisors and reviewed by Management.

  • Incident/accident reporting procedures are in place, all employees are made aware of their responsibility in the reporting of these incidents.

  • All employees employed in Civil Works section are accredited with and hold the appropriate onsite construction cards and licences.

  • All Heavy Duty Operators are accredited and hold the appropriate Western Australian Drivers Licence Classes.

  • JSA’s are completed and adhered to for specific projects.

  • All employees are expected to adhere to documented procedures and instructions which are relevant to their area of responsibility. They are also required to address problems which occur promptly with minimum interruption to the project they are working on.

 

Carbone Bros strive to ensure a safe workplace for all employees and the public at all times. Carbone Bros Directors and management recognize the importance of being good corporate citizens, they donate to a number of worthy causes within the community in which they operate.
